What's the Maximum Photo Size?

Fotify accepts large, high-quality photos from any modern smartphone or camera. Here are the limits you should know.

Photo Limits

  • Maximum file size: 80 MB per photo
  • Maximum resolution: 100 megapixels

Most smartphone photos are well within these limits. Even professional DSLR photos typically fit.

Video Limits

  • Maximum file size: 80 MB per video
  • Maximum length: 30 seconds

Video uploads are available on Premium Event plans.

On the Premium Event plan, long videos (Films) of up to 5 minutes are accepted as well, without the 80 MB cap (up to 50 per event). Fotify detects them automatically during upload.

What Happens If a File Is Too Large?

If a guest selects a file that exceeds the limits:

  • That file is skipped - the rest of the selection still uploads normally
  • A notice shows which files were skipped and why (for example, "Too large (max 80MB)")
  • The guest can compress or resize the file and add it again
